Submersible Slurry Pump Features

Submersible Slurry Pump is a pump designed for high-wear, high-viscosity slurries and solid-liquid mixtures. It can operate in harsh environments and can be directly immersed in liquids containing solid particles for extraction and transportation. It is widely used in mining, dredging, tunnel construction, sewage treatment, construction and metallurgy.

Submersible design: The pump body and motor are integrated and can be fully immersed in the slurry to operate, eliminating the worry of water level changes.

High efficiency and wear resistance: The pump casing, impeller and other key components are usually made of high chromium alloy or rubber to resist corrosion and wear of the slurry.

Strong discharge capacity: It can handle large particles up to 70-100 mm in diameter and solid mixtures with a concentration of up to 70%.

Non-clogging performance: The special open or semi-open impeller design reduces the risk of clogging and ensures continuous and smooth operation.

Easy maintenance: The modular design facilitates the removal and replacement of wearing parts and reduces downtime.

Overload protection: equipped with thermal protection device and leak-proof seal to prevent motor overload or damage due to leakage.

Efficient automatic cooling and heat dissipation of the Submersible Slurry Pump

Fully enclosed structure, maintenance-free cooling

One of the most notable features of the submersible slurry pump is its fully enclosed motor design. The motor is completely immersed in the liquid inside the pump body, so that the pump motor is directly cooled by the cooling liquid, avoiding the trouble of external cooling equipment in traditional pumps. Compared with pumps with externally installed cooling systems, the motor of the submersible slurry pump is directly cooled by liquid, ensuring that the equipment will not overheat during long-term high-load operation, significantly improving the stability and life of the pump.

No external access points, reducing the risk of failure

Because the submersible slurry pump is completely immersed in liquid, its sealed design can effectively prevent external dirt from entering the motor. The external cable and mechanical seal are specially designed to ensure that liquid does not enter the pump, thereby reducing the risk of common mechanical and electrical failures. The internal components of the pump are naturally cooled underwater, which not only eliminates the reliance on external heat dissipation equipment such as cooling fans, but also reduces damage caused by heat accumulation.

Long-term and efficient operation

The submersible slurry pump uses direct liquid cooling, which has a higher cooling efficiency than the traditional air cooling system. The motor and pump body can maintain a suitable temperature, and the pump can maintain continuous and efficient operation even when processing high-concentration or high-viscosity slurries. During long-term operation, the cooling system ensures that the equipment will not be degraded or malfunction due to overheating.

Application scenarios

Mining industry: used for mine drainage, slurry transportation and tailings treatment, especially suitable for slurry containing a large amount of solid particles.

Dredging: In dredging projects in rivers, lakes and oceans, silt, sand and gravel and other sediments are extracted.

Construction engineering: used for drainage of basements, tunnels and foundation pits, especially suitable for stagnant water containing mud and gravel.

Sewage treatment: used in municipal sewage treatment plants and industrial wastewater treatment facilities to extract high-concentration sludge.

Metallurgical industry: Treat slag and wastewater generated during smelting.

Submersible Slurry Pump Purchasing Guide

The following factors need to be considered when choosing a suitable Submersible Slurry Pump:

Flow and head: Determine the required flow and head according to the actual working conditions to ensure the efficiency and economy of the pump.

Slurry characteristics: Understand the density, particle size, solid content and pH of the slurry, and select wear-resistant materials and appropriate impeller types.

Power supply conditions: Select the appropriate voltage and power level according to the power conditions on site.

Working environment: If used in a corrosive environment, stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials should be selected.
