Share

Conforming to ASME (ANSI) B73.1, D Series Mark 3 pumps incorporate many proven reliability- and performance-enhancing features.

They are available in a wide range of configurations, including mechanically sealed, dynamically sealed, sealless magnetically driven, low-flow, self-priming and recessed impeller. It provides flexibility and breadth of pumping solutions in countless applications.

Durco Mark III ANSI Process Pump Parts

Main ASME 73.1 Pump Part

1. Impeller

Description: The impeller is the core part of the ASME 73.1 pump. It adopts an open design and can efficiently handle liquids containing solids. Its design ensures smooth flow of fluids and reduces energy loss.

Material: Cast iron, stainless steel or corrosion-resistant alloys can be selected to meet the needs of different fluids.

2. Pump casing

Description: The pump casing provides the external structure of the pump, protects the internal components and guides the flow of fluids. The design is foot-shaped for easy maintenance and disassembly.

Material: Cast iron or stainless steel is usually used to meet the needs of corrosion and wear resistance.

3. Shaft

Description: The shaft connects the impeller and the motor to transmit power. The design is sturdy and can withstand high loads and vibrations.

Material: Common materials include stainless steel and alloy steel to ensure strength and durability.

4. Mechanical seal

Description: Mechanical seals are used to prevent fluid leakage and ensure safe operation of the pump under high pressure and high temperature environments.

Material: The sealing material can be selected according to the properties of the fluid, such as carbon/silicon carbide combination.

5. Bearings

Description: Bearings support the rotation of the shaft, reducing friction and wear. Designed as double-row angular contact bearings to improve stability and service life.

Lubrication: Oil bath or grease lubrication can be selected to ensure the good operation of the bearings.

6. Base

Description: The base provides installation support for the pump and ensures the stability of the pump during operation.

Design: Usually cast iron or steel is used, with good vibration resistance.

7. Suction and discharge flanges

Description: Flanges are used to connect pipes to ensure smooth inflow and outflow of fluids. Designed in accordance with ANSI standards for easy installation and maintenance.

Material: Usually stainless steel or cast iron is used to ensure strength and corrosion resistance.

Pump Features:

● Lower total cost of ownership from reverse vane impeller, which eases  maintenance and provides renewable, high-efficiency performance  over the pumps' life.

● Increased reliability  and mechanical seal life due to the ideal seal environment seal chamber.

● Ease of maintenance  resulting from optimal, predictable seal chamber pressures that are re-established after every impeller setting.

● Extended mechanical seal and bearing life through robust shaft and bearing designs that also  minimize shaft deflection.

● Fast and accurate  impeller setting with the industry's most innovative external impeller adjustment mechanism.

● In-shop reverse vane impeller adjustment with the only pump that takes full advantage of the back pull-out design.
